Spondylolisthesis Health Center
Spondylolisthesis is a condition in which the there is a defect in a portion of the spine, causing vertebra to slip to one side of the body. Spondylolisthesis should not be confused with Spondylolysis, the most common cause of isthmic spondylolisthesis, in which one vertebral body is slipped forward over another. Isthmic spondylolisthesis is the most common cause of back pain in children; however, most children do not actually experience any symptoms or pain. The most common symptom is back pain or leg pain that limits a person's activity level.
